Hockey

In the 1920's hockey was a Canadian sport, that instantly became popular in Canada. Hockey was considered Canada's national game, as the popularity for the sport rapidly increased. During the 1920's, NHL (National Hockey League) was formed for Canadian athletes. NHL became an instant success, because many spectators enjoyed watching hockey.When WW1 had ended, many individuals were excited to watch hockey. Hockey became a sport that every Canadian loved. A team in the NHL, Quebec Bulldogs had changed their name and location to Hamilton Tigers due to financial difficulties. After WW1, many people were in financial problems, because of the lack of jobs. Many people were unable to have jobs. Despite these financial issues in Canada, NHL constantly grew. In the 1920's, the rules of NHL had slowly changed. Due to the lack of safety equipments, many players were frequently injured. Especially, goalies suffered the most from injuries, because the didn't have helmets. In 1924, the Boston Bruins became a new team in the NHL. NHL has slowly expanded into the United States. As years passed on, hockey became more and more popular. Hockey is considered to be a part of the Canadian Culture.
