Lionel Conacher

Lionel Conacher was a truly remarkable Canadian athlete. He was considered to be Canada's all-round athlete of the 19th century. He has participated in numerous sports. He first sport was football. In 1921, Conacher has helped the Toronto Argonauts win the Grey Cup. His main sport was football. However in 1925, Lionel joined the NHL. During his NHL career, he played for Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Americans, Chicago Black Hawks, and Montreal Maroons. He played Canada's national sport. (Hockey) He also played baseball and lacrosse. He was also rewared with the Canadian amateur light heavyweight boxing title in the late 1920's. Lionel Conacher was an outstanding athlete that played numerous sports. Despite all the sports, Lionel was also a member of the MPP (Liberal Member of Provincial Parliament). An individual, like Lionel Conacher is a true role model, because of his mentality to succeed. Conacher always tried his best, no matter what it was.
